Getting There

By car, Saint Sulpice les Feuilles is just over three hours south west of Paris on the A20 and 30 minutes north of Limoges. The village is conveniently located just 10 minutes drive from the A20 motorway (junction 22), the main route from Paris to the south of France.

Limoges, the medieval capital of Limousin, is where the region’s international airport Bellegarde is located – about 35 minutes drive south from our house. See Limoges AiroprtFlybe and Ryanair fly from more than 10 UK airports to Bellegarde.   

Car hire companies on site at the Limoges Airport are, Avis, Europcar, National Citer and Hertz. Each has after hour key drop off.

The closest TGV (fast train) station is at Limoges which is only 30 minutes away by car. Look at http://www.bonjourlafrance.com/france-map/sncf-map.htm for details. If you’re travelling from the UK, why not take theEurostar train to Paris? After a quick change across town, Limoges is only a few hours away on a fast inter-city service. Saint Sulpice les Feuilles is located ideally in the centre of France. Within an hour’s drive there are many sights and activities to be enjoyed including excellent restaurants, beaches and lakes, fishing, golf, quaint hilltop villages, chateaux and large vibrant medieval cities such as Limoges. Within 2-3 hours drive there are another whole range of activities such as skiing in the Massif Central, wine tasting in Dordogne and Bordeaux and surfing in the Atlantic ocean.

So many things to do it is hard to fit them all into a week so why not stay longer.
